Motorola SB6121 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - Motorola Retail Packaging

Motorola SB6121 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - Motorola Retail Packaging
Although more expensive that a lot of models, this is a good modem. Doesn't make any noise, runs only slightly warm to the touch, has updated tech, and consistently performs well on speedtest.net and pingtest.net. Of course, performance on those sites will also depend on your ISP. That being said, if you are OCD like me and must research every product to death before you buy it, save yourself some time and just purchase this modem.

Great Modem. Super fast. hooked up in about 15 minutes. Had to call Comcast and was able to get things activated through online chat. Also works great with my Apple Airport Extreme Base Station with my Vonage Router -- Bridged(off). Vonage was the only Hiccup of the process. Needed to unhook my Vonage router so my SB6121 could be recognized by Comcast, THEN hook back up Vonage, reset it and go. I'm hitting a SOLID 35.95 Mbps with 6.50 Upload. Wireless! -- Very Happy.

Diamond Multimedia 300Mbps 802.11n Wireless Range Extender (WR300N)

Diamond Multimedia 300Mbps 802.11n Wireless Range Extender (WR300N)
Our house is pretty long, and it just so happens that my bedroom is located on the extreme opposite end of where our wireless internet is set up. I've always had to come to the middle of the house to get internet signal on my laptop, and for years I never realized it could be fixed with a simple $60 gadget (that really was super simple to set up). One thing about the instructions is that it says to turn off your wifi and plug an ethernet cable into the repeater, but I personally thought it was much easier to just use the wireless and manually select the repeater's wifi identity (and remember that the password it will ask for is located on the back of the repeater). I'm actually writing this review from my bedroom and I just finished watching a streaming episode of TV on Hulu...AND my new Google TV in my room is able to connect to the internet now too. Highly recommend.

The Diamond Multimedia Wireless Range Extender was the easiest item to set up I've ever encountered. It took no more than five minutes, and it has been working perfectly. I note that at least two reviewers who encountered problems with the device thought that it might be incompatible with the Verizon FIOS service. I have FIOS, and I had no problem with the Diamond.

Diamond Multimedia 300Mbps 802.11n Wireless Range Extender (WR300N)
The WR300N device can take an existing 802.11n wireless signal, repeat and send it to a longer range where it is too far away for the router or access point to reach. It eliminates the cable wires while providing the same reliable network connection. It can repeat and extend the wireless signal from virtually any 802.11n wireless router or access point that is launched on the market. It is backwards compatible with the 802.11b/g router or access point.
